Anarchy Meets Pilates.

Controlled movement, deliberate breath, no mirrors, no ego. Build a core of steel with a mix of Pilates, weights and mitt work.

01 — The Philosophy

Strength Is a
Quiet Kind of Loud.

Black Metal Pilates was born from a simple contradiction: the scene taught us to feel everything, and Pilates taught us to control it. So we put Pilates, the weight room, and the boxing gym on the same floor in the heart of the San Fernando Valley — precise, heavy, and a little feral.

Intentional

Every rep is deliberate — whether it's a breath, a barbell, or a combo on the mitts. We move slow enough to hear the difference the small muscles make.

Inclusive

Whatever body, whatever background, whatever your history with the gym has been — you belong on this floor. Modifications for everyone, always.

Intense

Don't let the black lipstick fool you. These classes are hard. You'll shake. You'll swear. You'll come back Thursday.

02 — The Practice

Choose Your Heaviness.

A mix of your worst nightmare — built around you. Every session is by appointment, and you choose the length.

Fundamentals

The gateway. Breath, alignment, and the core connection the whole method is built on. No experience needed.

Reformer

Springs, straps, and slow controlled work on the reformer — deep, precise, full-body Pilates.

Wunda Chair

Compact and brutal. Deep stability and strength on the Wunda Chair, where the small ranges hit hardest.

Tower

Spring-loaded work on the Tower — mobility, control, and strength through full range of motion.

Boxing

Gloves on. Mitt work, combinations, and conditioning — sharp, loud, and a clear head after.

Strength

Weighted, deliberate strength training. Loaded slow and controlled — build the steel under the skin.

03 — The Teacher

Meet Your Guide.

Anita, founder and lead instructor, on the reformer Est. 2020

Anita

Founder · Lead Instructor

A former ballet dancer and skateboarder, Anita found Pilates while working through years of hip and knee pain — the mix of strength and mobility that finally gave her body back.

Boxing and strength did the same for her head: clearing anxiety and building real confidence in her own body. Black Metal Pilates is where she puts all of it on the same floor.

"I'll show you how to believe in yourself."
